Questions
What is Tiny Desk AI?
Tiny Desk AI is an independent photo-to-video tool that puts you, or you and four friends, into a Tiny Desk-style desk concert. Upload 1 photo for Solo or 5 people for Band and get a 15-second vertical MP4.
Is Tiny Desk AI free?
No. Watching the templates and checking your photos are free, but creating a video uses one credit from a one-time pack starting at $9.99. There is no subscription.
How much does Tiny Desk AI cost?
One-time packs cost $9.99 for 1 video, $19.90 for 3 videos and $29.90 for 5 videos. Solo and Band cost the same, so putting five people in the video costs nothing extra.
How many photos do I need?
Solo needs 1 photo. Band needs either 1 group photo with all 5 people visible, or 5 separate single-person photos.
Can I put five friends in one Tiny Desk AI video?
Yes. Band mode replaces all five performers: the center lead singer, the keyboard player, the sax player and both backup singers.
How does group photo mode decide who plays which part?
Tiny Desk AI maps each person in your group photo to a role by their position in the photo. If you want to choose exactly who plays sax or keyboard, use 5-photo mode instead.
Which photo goes in which slot in 5-photo mode?
Picture 1 is the center lead singer, Picture 2 is the keyboard player, Picture 3 is the sax player, Picture 4 is backup singer 1 and Picture 5 is backup singer 2.
What do I get?
You get a 15-second MP4 in 9:16 vertical format at 720p (720×1280) with sound, ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Is there a watermark?
No. Your 720p MP4 downloads without a watermark.
What photos work best?
Use JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 10 MB, at least 320 px on the shortest side, with the face front-facing, evenly lit and not covered by sunglasses, masks or hands.
Can I post my Tiny Desk AI video on TikTok?
Yes, as long as you follow TikTok's rules. Turn on TikTok's AI-generated content label and do not present the clip as a real performance.
What happens if my video fails to render?
The credit for a failed render is returned automatically. You can then try again with a clearer photo.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, for your first paid pack if none of its videos has been used: request it within 7 days of the charge by emailing your order number to support@tinydesk-ai.best. Used or partly used packs are not refunded, but a failed render always returns its credit. See the refund policy.
What happens to my uploaded photos?
Your photos are private, used only to make your video, and deleted automatically after 24 hours. They are not used to train AI models.
Can I use photos of coaches, players or celebrities?
Only if you have the right to use them. Before rendering you must confirm that you have permission for every photo, and you must not use the video to impersonate anyone, mislead viewers, advertise or imply an endorsement.
Is Tiny Desk AI affiliated with NPR?
No. Tiny Desk AI is an independent tool and is not affiliated with NPR, NPR Music, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band.
